IMPORTANT UPDATES IN FERRY-PLANE TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Starting Monday, July 5th, self-test is no longer accepted for the ferry-plane routes from mainland Greece to the Greek islands. All adults travelling on these routes are required to provide:
- Vaccination certificate (dated min. 14 days after the last dose of the vaccination) or
- Proof of recovery (2-9 months after recovery) or
- PCR test with a negative result (taken within the last 72 hours) or
- Rapid test with a negative result (taken within the last 48 hours)
For teenagers from 12 to 17 years, any type of test is accepted, including a self-test within the last 24 hours which needs to be declared via the website https://self-testing.gov.gr or via the COVID-19 Self Test Form. Minors up to 12 years travel freely and do not have to do a test.
On return from the islands, a self-test is recommended for passengers over 12 years but it is not mandatory.
For ferry-plane trips between islands, a self-test within the last 24 hours is mandatory and needs to be declared via the website https://self-testing.gov.gr or via the COVID-19 Self Test Form.
The measures do not include the islands of Euboea/Evia, Lefkada, and Salamina.
Finally, all travellers have to complete their Health Statement Form before the embarkation of their ship-airplane. Please fill out the Pre-Boarding Form and give it to a crew member during the boarding process or fill out the online form here https://sea.travel.gov.gr.
